THE PRAYER OF JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Prays For Believers, His Disciples, Himself, & Future Believers.

When Jesus, had finished saying all these things He looked up to heaven and said: "Father, the hour has come. Reveal the glory of Your Son, so that Your Son also may glorify You.
For You have given Him authority over all flesh. He gives eternal life to all that You have given to Him.
And this is the way to have eternal life, by knowing You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You sent.
I have glorified You here on earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
And now, O Father, glorify Me, together with Yourself, the glory which we had together before the world began.
"I have made known Your name to the men whom You have given to Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
Now they have known that all things You gave to Me are from You.
For I gave to them the commands You have given Me, and they have accepted them, and known of a certainty that I came down to earth from You, and they believe You did send Me.
"I pray for them. I do not pray for the world, but for those whom You gave to Me, for they are Yours.
And all that are Mine are Yours, and Yours Mine, and I have been glorified in them.
And now I will no longer be in the world, I am coming to You. but these are in the world. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, those whom You gave to Me, that they may be one, as We are.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost, except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
And now I am coming to You, I spoke those things in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.
I have given them Your commands. And the world hates them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
I do not pray that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.
They are not part of this world, just as I am not of this world.
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is the truth.
As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
"I do not pray for these alone, but also for future believers who will come to Me, through their word.
That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
And the glory which You gave Me, I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
I in them, and You in Me; that all may be perfected into one, and that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them just as You have loved Me.
"Father, I would like that they whom You gave Me, also may be with Me, where I am, that they may behold the glory that You have given Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
O righteous Father! The world knew You not, but I knew You, and these knew that You sent Me.
And I have declared to them Your name and will declare, that the love with which You loved Me, may be in them, and I in them."
