HEBREW MANUSCRIPTS WITH MASSORETIC NOTATIONS.

  Images of the London Codex (Or. 4445) one of the oldest surviving Hebrew Bibles. It contains the Masoretic notation compiled by Aaron Ben Asher, a tenth-century scholar.

  The Massorah or Masorah is a body of rules of pronunciation, spelling, vocalization, and intonation of the scriptural text, intended to preserve it and transmit it correctly.

  Copied in Egypt or Palestine around the 10th century. This manuscript was acquired by the British Museum in 1891 from a private collector.
